Logan County is in Crisis, and So Is the Humane Society
Without you we will not be able to keep our doors open. Making the choice to stand beside us as a Friend of the Humane Society or an Ally of the Animals will mean the difference between keeping our doors open and having to close them for good.
For just the price of a pizza or a Big Mac meal at McDonalds, you'll help to ensure that we can continue our life-saving work caring for the thousands of unwanted and stray animals in our county.
500 People.
That's what we need.
Just 500 people out of the 28,000 who live in Logan County, donating just $19 a month will fund our current budget needs in full. Just 500!!! 1000 people making that same donation will allow us to buy and staff a Low-Cost Spay-Neuter van to provide services in every town around the county so we can FINALLY get this stray animal population under control.
1500 people choosing to share in our commitment to the animals will let us build the new Adoption Center this county so desperately needs to care for the thousands of unwanted dogs and cats we get calls about every single day.
The Humane Society has been serving Logan County faithfully for over 37 years. We want to be here for 37 more, but we need your help to do it. Will you be one of the 500 who steps up to help the cats and dogs of Logan County?

Why is Your Partnership SO Important?
Here are just a few of the cats and dogs who are alive and loved today because of Charitable Sponsors like you.
Abandoned by her previous owners, Angel had an infection in her eye for so long that it caused permanent damage to her vision. Though she’s now blind in one eye, her new family love her too much to care that she’s not perfect, and Angel is living a heavenly new life!
Was brought to us by a kind man who found him stuck inside a vehicle. Hungry, dehydrated and scared, this tiny 7 week old kitten also had a prolapsed bowel that required immediate surgery for him to survive. Wilde received the care he needed and is now thriving after being adopted by the man who originally brought him in.
We pulled Lady from the County’s Animal Control shelter after discovering she had been surrendered there with a broken jaw. X-rays showed this sweet pup had actually been shot in the face. It took three surgeries to remove all of shattered jaw and bullet fragments. In spite of losing everything – her home, her babies and her health – Lady never lost her spirit and is now living a wonderful life with a family who adore her completely!
Picked up by Animal Control, this poor pup was not only starving, but had a partially-healed broken leg, likely from being hit by a car a week or two earlier. After several surgeries and a long recovery period in foster, Abel is now living a great life in his new home!
Arrived in such bad shape we didn’t know if she would survive the night. About 5 weeks old, her eyes and ears were sealed shut with mites and infection. She was half the weight she should have been, covered in fleas and missing fur. Four weeks later, after incredible care from our dedicated staff, Chance was still experiencing some health problems she would likely have for the rest of her life, and adopted by a couple committed to caring for her just as she is.
Pregnant, starving and sick, Lana gave birth to 5 kittens within 24 hours of entering the shelter. Only three of her babies survived, but they are all growing and looking healthy. Now that she is safe and getting the food and medication she needs, Lana is looking much healthier too! She and her kittens will be ready to find their new homes at the beginning of July.
Was surrendered by a man who was obviously lying to us about her history. She was filthy, missing half her fur, terrified and very aggressive. It took almost a year of dedicated and consistent work by our amazing staff, but Roxi is now a happy, healthy, well- balanced girl who is ready to find her forever home.
